Early departure from Watamu westward to Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive under the dramatic presence of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli's swamps attract the largest elephant herds in Kenya, often over 1,000 individuals. Watch lions, cheetahs, hippos and flamingo-lined wetlands as the mountain glows at sunset.
Full day in Amboseli - one of Africa's most photogenic parks. Dawn drive for optimal Kilimanjaro cloud-free views and elephant silhouettes. Visit the Observation Hill for panoramic views over the swamps. Afternoon drive past the Enkongo Narok swamp. Optional Maasai village cultural visit in the afternoon.
Morning game drive then transfer through the spectacular border lands to Tsavo West National Park. Tsavo West is a photographer's paradise - volcanic plugs, lava flows, and the famous Mzima Springs where you can watch hippos and crocodiles underwater through a glass-walled observation chamber. Dinner and overnight.
Morning game drive in Tsavo West then cross into Tsavo East for a final game drive across the iconic red plains. Stop at Lugard's Falls before the drive back to the coast. Arrive Watamu/Malindi by early evening, completing the full Tsavo circuit.
